Defence Minister advises to uphold the oath administered by military personnel

Minister of Defence Mariya Ahmed Didi has advised to always uphold the oath administered on the first day, when performing the lawful duty of military personnel.

Addressing the ceremony held to mark the conclusion of the 64th primary training programme held for recruits of Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), Minister Mariya said primary recruit training programme is the base of all good military personnel. On the same note, she advised to uphold the oath administered by all military personnel.

The defence minister stated every individual filling senior positions of MNDF began their military career as recruits, urging every recruit to work towards success. Highlighting the tiring responsibilities of the force, Mariya noted the knowledge and skills attained in the training must be used in the future.

The recruit training programme was successfully completed by 125 recruits which includes 111 males and 14 females.
