STO to sell staple foods in atolls as the same rate as in Male'

State trading Organisation (STO) has revealed from April 1 onwards staple foods will be retailed in islands as the same price as in the capital, Male' City.

Speaking to the media about the positive changes brought to the retail of staple foods, Managing Director Hussain Amru said preparations are underway to sell staple foods in atolls as the same price in Male' from April 1 onwards. He added agents from all islands are being sought at the moment, revealing application forms for interested parties will be made available from STO pharmacies in the islands.

To enable the sale of staple foods in allocated prices, STO will take over expenses for transportation of staple foods among additional charges.
