Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has appreciated the key role of outgoing Ambassador of India to Maldives Akhilesh Mishra in revitalising the relationship between the two countries. The foreign minister thanked the ambassador for his part in further enhancing the traditional relationship between the two countries.
Furthermore, during the farewell call of the ambassador, Foreign Minister Shahid thanked the Government of India for the continued support and cooperation in strengthening the political, social, economic and defence sectors of Maldives. The minister also wished the ambassador all the best in his future endeavours.
During the farewell call, Minister Shahid was accompanied by Foreign Secretary Abdul Ghafoor Mohamed and Director, India Division Mariyam Midhfa Naeem.
