Ministry of Foreign Affairs has revealed Agreement on Facilitation of Visa between the Maldives and India will enter into force starting from March 11, following the finalisation of all necessary legal formalities and with the exchange of diplomatic notes to that effect between both countries.
The agreement was signed during the state visit to India by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih last December, to facilitate easier travel between both countries and enhance the Maldives-India relationship.
This agreement will further facilitate easier travel for Maldivians visiting India for tourism, medical care, education and business transactions.
