Former President Mohamed Nasheed has delivered a lecture at the Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, India.
The lecture on democracy was delivered by the former president during his current visit to India made on an invitation of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and Jawaharlal Nehru University. During the lecture, Nasheed highlighted how countries in the South Asian region can strengthen democracy and fight corruption. Due to his work on democracy and climate change, Nasheed is a popular figure in the international stage.
The former president is also due to give a lecture on climate change at ICCR.
