Maldives condemn terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir

Maldives have condemned the terrorist attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir.

In a message sent to Minister of External Affairs of India, Sushma Swaraj, condemning the terrorist attack in Pulwama, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives Abdulla Shahid conveyed sympathy to the Government and people of India. In the message, the foreign minister said the message of the attack was received with deep shock and horror which caused tragic loss of life and distress to many dozens of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel. He strongly condemned the cowardly act of terror on behalf of the government and the people of Maldives.

Furthermore, Minister Shahid extended profound condolences and sympathies to his Indian counterpart, the government and the people of India, and especially to the bereaved families of the brave Indian Army at this time of sorrow and devastation. He reiterated the commitment of Maldives to the fight against terrorism and assuring to continue to work closely with India, and the international community in eliminating the global menace.
