Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has released the Maldivian fishing vessel caught trespassing Indian territorial waters.
ICG held a Maldivian vessel named Veevaru, according to Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF). ICG said there were 12 people on the vessel, which has been released to return back to Maldives. The vessel was released as a goodwill gesture from the Government of India.
MNDF has advised to refrain from trespassing economic zones of other neighbouring countries and to follow the rules and regulations.
