Ministerial delegation visits Egypt

A ministerial delegation has arrived in Cairo, Egypt to find a solution to the shortage of teachers in Arabiyya School.

Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Ali is leading the delegation as a special envoy of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. She is accompanied by Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Zahir Ali and Chief of Staff at the President's Office Ali Zahir.

During the three-day visit, the Maldivian delegation will discuss on solving the teacher shortage faced in Arabiyya School, according to the education ministry. Moreover, the minister will meet the Maldivians studying in Egypt and inquire the challenges faced by them.

The education ministry added discussions will also be held with religious scholars on maintaining the Islamic policies in Maldives. Furthermore, focused discussions will be held on enhancing the education sector, especially Islamic education in Maldives.
