Pakistan navy ship not restricted to enter Maldives

Pakistan have assured the Maldivian authorities have not restricted a Pakistan navy ship to enter Maldives.

Speaking to PSM News, Pakistan Embassy in Maldives revealed neither India took actions to stop a Pakistan navy ship entering Maldives nor did the Maldivian authorities. In this regard, the Pakistan Embassy refuted rumours that India restricted a Pakistan navy ship from entering Maldives.

Deputy Head of Mission of Pakistan Embassy in Maldives Zulqarnain Ahmed affirmed the rumours that India stressed to restrict the Pakistan navy ship from entering Maldives are all false, assuring the naval ship will come to Maldives as planned. He mentioned naval ships from Pakistan have entered Maldives previously as well.

Although an exact date of the arrival of the ship was not disclosed, the Pakistan Embassy assured the ship will come to Maldives next month. Moreover, the Deputy Head of Mission stated the ship is brought to Maldives as part of the efforts to strengthen relations between both countries.

Pakistan continues to assist Maldives in various endeavours such as training opportunities for military personal.
