Manta Air to begin operations to Addu city

Manta Air has decided to extend its operations to Addu City and other southern destinations in Maldives.

While Manta Air officially began its operations this week, the local airline has decided to bring an additional aircraft next month. The airline expressed hope the operations can be commenced to Addu City and other southern destinations once the aircraft is brought to Maldives.

Speaking on a programme aired on PSM news, Chief Marketing Officer of Manta Air Ahmed Maumoon said the aim of the airline is to enhance the air transportation to all round Maldives despite the size of the population. In this regard, Maumoon added although initially operations were only commenced to Kudahuvadhoo in Dhaalu Atoll, more flights are being brought to enable services to other airports. Meanwhile, Manta Air also plans to introduce seaplane operations.

Manta Air officially began operations on February 24. Manta Air revealed the feedback was very positive from the passengers. Top priority of the airline is to make domestic travel enjoyable and effortless by maintaining high standards in the services and safety of the passengers, according to Manta Air.

The airline has begun operations with an ATR 72-600 aircraft.
