High Court of Maldives has participated in the programme initiated by the government to reduce single use plastics. The programme was launched by Chief Judge at High Court Shujau Usmaan.
Speaking at the ceremony, Shujau Usman expressed gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the initiative. During the ceremony, High Court presented glass bottles to all its staff.
On December 2, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih launched the Campaign to minimise Single-Use Plastic. Speaking at the ceremony, President Solih expressed hope single-use plastic will be greatly minimised in all the ministries and government offices within the first 100-days of the administration. He noted the initiative is an important step towards the protection and preservation of the environment.
