Maldives Association of Human Resource Professionals (MAHRP) has held the first ever National HR Convention and Expo 2019 at Dharubaaruge convention centre with 375 participants.
The National HR Convention and Expo will provide a platform featuring six keynote addresses by well-known HR leaders, and an additional twenty presentations and speeches will be delivered by some of the most renowned names in the local HR network. During the two-day convention, two panel discussions are scheduled to take place on topics: HR as a Business Partner and Employee Wellness and Engagement. The panellists include experts from the HR sector locally and globally. The speakers include individuals from Singapore, Sweden, India, Sri Lanka, United Kingdom, and Maldives.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim Hassan expressed such conventions will boost the HR sector of the country.
MAHRP noted most participants are from tourism sector. The theme for the inaugural edition of the convention is Future of HR and Work. The Expo will focus on four key areas, including Talent Development and Culture, Employee Wellness and Engagement, Innovation and Digitalisation in HR Practices, and HR as a Business Partner and Future of Work.
MAHRP is Maldives's first professional association registered at Ministry of Home Affairs, devoted to human resources and people development.
