Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives Abdulla Shahid has noted over the years, Maldives and Pakistan have shared warm and cordial relations in bilateral, regional, and international fora, expressing confidence that the close ties that exist between two countries will be further strengthened in the coming years. Minister Shahid made the statement in a message sent to Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi, on the occasion of the 79th Anniversary of Pakistan Day.
In the message, Minister Shahid extended warm felicitations and sincere good wishes to his counterpart, the government and the people of Pakistan on the joyous occasion of the 79th Pakistan Day.
Pakistan Day is marked commemorating the Lahore Resolution passed on March 23, 1940.
