Maldives has reassured of commitment to working together with Pakistan to further develop the brotherly relationship between the two countries.
In a message sent to President of Pakistan Arif Alvi and Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Ahmad Khan Niazi, on the occasion of Pakistan Day, President Solih noted the long-standing cordial ties of friendship and diplomatic partnership between Maldives and Pakistan is built on shared values, mutual understanding and common interests, both in the bilateral and regional spheres.
In his messages, the president extended warm greetings and good wishes to the president and prime minister, the government and the brotherly people of Pakistan on the occasion of Pakistan Day.
Pakistan Day is marked on the March 23, to commemorate the passing of the Lahore Resolution on March 23, 1940, which eventually led to the adoption of the first constitution of Pakistan on March 23, 1956.
