Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has expressed hope and confidence that Maldives and Bangladesh will continue working together on bilateral and international issues of mutual concern, to further strengthen the close ties of friendship and cooperation.
In a message of felicitations to Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh Dr. A.K. Abdul Momen, on the occasion of the 48th Anniversary of Independence of Bangladesh, Foreign Minister Shahid noted for over four decades, Maldives and Bangladesh have enjoyed a close bond of friendship and cooperation based on shared values, mutual respect, and understanding.
In his message, the Maldivian foreign minister extended warm congratulations and good wishes to the government and the friendly people of Bangladesh.
