MTCC contracted to conduct 3 major infrastructure development projects

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been contracted to carry out infrastructure development projects in three islands.

At a special function held at the Ministry of National Planning and Infrastructure, the agreements related to the projects were singed by Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of National Planning and Infrastructure Zeeniya Ahmed Hameed and the CEO of MTCC Hassan Shah. Under the agreements, MTCC would be developing the ring road of Fuvahmulah City, the sea wall of the harbour in Kanduhulhudhoo in Gaafu Alifu Atoll and a road construction project in Hulhumeedhoo in Addu City.

Developing the ring road of Fuvahmulah City is a project worth USD 130,000. As part of the project, an area of 2.7 kilometres would be tarred. The project is to be completed within 240 days.

Furthermore, developing the sea wall of the harbour in Kanduhulhudhoo is a project worth over USD 2.273 million, while the road construction project in Hulhumeedhoo is worth USD 2.078 million. The projects are also to be completed within 240 days.
