Ministry of Health and Griffith University of Australia have signed an agreement for mutual cooperation and partnership.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Health Abdulla Ameen highlighted the biggest challenge faced for the health sector of Maldives is lack of human resources adding the agreement signed with Griffith University will assist in developing human resources in the sector.
Griffith University is known for developing human resource to work in emergency crises and research. Speaking on behalf of the university Professor Cordia Chu lauded the plans of the government to provide health services to meet the environment of Maldives.
The agreement is signed for joint development and collaboration in health planning and promotion, capacity building, research development, and management of health services.
