President's Office has stated over USD 1.489 million will be disbursed as loans via the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Finance Corporation (SDFC).
Speaking at a press conference Spokesperson at President's Office, Chief Communication's Strategist Ibrahim Hood said until last week 250 applications were received by the facility. In this regard, Hood added USD 1.489 million have now been approved to be disbursed.
Maldives officially inaugurated a financial facility devoted for SMEs named SDFC last March. SDFC was formed as a 100 percent state-owned company which comprises of 5% share for city councils of Male', Addu and Fuvahmulah.
