Meedhoo Island Council briefs President on issues facing the island

Meedhoo Island Council briefs President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on some of the pressing issues faced in the island.

At a meeting held with council members at President's Office, President Solih was also briefed on current development projects conducted in the island. The issues highlighted by the council included upgrading the healthcare facility to a hospital, need for land reclamation, harbour expansion and other infrastructure development needed for the island in Raa Atoll.

During the meeting, Parliamentarian Adam Shareef brief the president on behalf of Maduvvaree Island Council on some pressing issues facing the island, also in Raa Atoll including the expansion of the harbour, building a new multi-purpose hall in the school, and other infrastructure projects requested by the island council.

The president further expressed the administration would take necessary action after discussing with the ministries and address the specific issues and concerns raised.
