Vice President Faisal Naseem has departed on a two-day visit to some islands of Haa Alifu Atoll.
During the first leg, Vice President Naseem visited Molhadhoo of Haa Alifu Atoll. Upon arrival, the vice president met the people of the island and stated the administration is committed to improving the social welfare of the island.
During the visit, he toured the school and the health centre, met with the employees working at both institutes and enquired on the current situation and the challenges faced while carrying out the mandate of the institutes. Moreover, he also visited the newly built mosque in the island. He also met members of Molhadhoo Island Council.
During the trip Vice President is scheduled to visit Uligamu, Thuraakunu, Hoarafushi, Maarandhoo and Ihavandhoo in Haa Alifu Atoll. He is scheduled to hold meetings with the members of the island council from each island and visit and inquire the situation of different institutions in the islands.
