Minister of Finance Ibrahim Ameer has revealed the administration will submit a supplementary budget in August.
Speaking to PSM News, Minister Ameer said the ministry is working to finalise a supplementary budget to submit to the parliament. The minister expressed the supplementary budget will be publicised before submitting to the parliament.
The administration decided to submit a supplementary budget before formulating the State Budget 2019.
Meanwhile, Minister of Planning and Infrastructure Mohamed Aslam expressed concerns over the lack of budget to conduct new projects.
The finance ministry hopes to solve financial challenges with the supplementary budget.
