Maldivian Embassy in Saudi Arabia advises pilgrims to use tracking apps

The Embassy of Maldives in Saudi Arabia has advised pilgrims to use tracking apps on their mobile phones to ease locating pilgrims if they get lost.

The embassy requested to use tracking apps on the phones since in every Hajj season, Maldivians get lost. The embassy expects the tracking applications will ease locating the pilgrims in such situations.

Meanwhile, in efforts to provide assistance for pilgrims, a team of Maldivian Embassy in Saudi Arabia are currently in Jeddah and Makkah.

Moreover, the embassy has also assured to provide assistance in any consular emergency. The Government of Saudi Arabia provided 2,000 slots for Maldivians to perform Hajj pilgrimage this year.
