Maldives National University (MNU) has hosted Engineering Symposium 2019 in collaboration with Civil and Structural Engineering Consultants Private Limited (CSEC) and 960 Consultants.
The aim of the one-day symposium is held for engineering professionals, practitioners and engineering students. During the symposium, keynote speeches were delivered were experts of the field.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chancellor of MNU Aishath Shaheen said holding an engineering symposium in Maldives will further boost the sector.
The keynotes of the experts highlighted on prevailing research on durability of reinforced concrete in coastal environment and its economic impact and emphasized on design considerations in high-rise buildings and waste to building materials.
Furthermore, they noted the key findings and application of green innovation and entrepreneurship for construction and structural engineering.
