Minister of Finance Ibrahim Ameer has claimed the previous administration had neglected improving the infrastructure of government offices and institutions.
Speaking at the Parliamentary Committee on Independent Institutions, Minister Ameer noted the poor conditions of the offices. The finance minister expressed the conditions of the facilities providing healthcare services and education are poor.
The minister said the administration would ensure favourable work places are granted to government offices and institutions. He added a special importance would be given to such issues in the state budget for 2020.
Furthermore, officials from the independent institutions raised concerns at the committee on the amount of funds allocated to such offices and outlined the programmes planned to be held next year.
