New policies to be implemented to arrange easier ways to perform Hajj

Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr Ahmed Zahir has stated better policies will be implemented to arrange easier ways for Maldivians travelling to Saudi Arabia for Hajj pilgrimage.

The Islamic minister made the statement in an interview with PSM News at Velana International Airport (VIA) after welcoming back pilgrims from Saudi Arabia. Government ministries, institutions and companies have worked to grant the required services for pilgrims who travelled to perform Hajj this year. In this regard, easy arrangements were made for bus services and those accompanying relatives to and from the airport.

Vice President Faisal Naseem, Islamic Minister Zahir, Minister at President's Office Ahmed Sameer welcomed the last group of pilgrims who completed Hajj this year. The vice president thanked all those who worked hard to facilitate Hajj for Maldivian pilgrims.
