Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has begun speed launch ferry services between Kelaa, Haa Alifu Atoll and Kulhudhuffushi, Haa Dhaalu Atoll.
The speed launch ferry services will operate on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, according to MTCC. The ferries are scheduled to travel to Vashafaru, Filladhoo and Baarah in Haa Alifu Atoll from Kelaa and to Hanimaadhoo and Kulhudhuffushi in Haa Dhaalu Atoll. MTCC said the ticket prices for the ferries are fixed between USD 4.86 and USD 16.19.
The state-owned company provides ferry services in different areas of the country and aims to modernise its fleet to enhance services to a growing demand.
