Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed has assured the investigation of the report mocking Islam published by Maldives Democracy Network (MDN) would be carried out without fear of influence and favour. Commissioner Hameed made the remarks in a tweet at a time when the public is heavily criticising the report MDN published.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih condemned the report in a statement explaining that the matter will be investigated.
Meanwhile, Ministry of Islamic Affairs also condemned the report and said the report was part of the plan to radicalize Maldives against Islam.
