Managing Director Adam Azim has Maldives Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has become more efficient after efforts to upgrade the services of the state-owned company. Azim made the statement during the signing ceremony to design and establish water and sewerage services in Haggnaameedhoo, Alifu Dhaalu Atoll.
Managing Director Azim said MWSC faced many challenges when the new administration assumed office in November 2018 and the services were provided at a low standard. Azim noted much of the efforts to overcome the issues and re-establish upgraded services have become successful, adding MWSC has been given the task to provide services for four islands during September. He said the company has the potential to carryout 20 projects simultaneously following the progress it had made over the past months.
In addition to Haggnaameedhoo, MWSC is currently conducting projects in Goidhoo, Kudafari and Maalhendhoo, Noonu Atoll, Baa Atoll and Kinolhas, Raa Atoll.
