Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) has held a meeting to discuss good governance practices with state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in its attempt to improve the governance of state companies.
Speaking to PSM News, President of PCB Hassan Waheed said the successful meeting it held with SOEs was attended by top managements of the companies. He said the discussions included challenges in running SOEs and the various approaches to solve such challenges.
Hassan Waheed said PCB recommended SOEs to use their authority and strengthen corporate governance of the companies. He said officials from 90% of the registered 34 SOEs participated in the meeting.
PCB informed it aims to hold similar sessions more frequently while it is planning to organise a corporate governance summit in the near future.
