Minister of Health Abdulla Ameen has stated the outcome of the mobile laboratories placed in four islands is better than expected. The health ministry decided to establish mobile laboratories in four islands of laamu atoll to allow patients to do necessary tests from their respective islands.
Addressing at the ceremony held to mark the Golden Jubilee of Hithadhoo Hospital in Laamu Atoll, Health Minister Ameen spoke on the success of the initial project of mobile laboratory services launched in laamu atoll. The minister said necessary works are underway to improve the services provided in such laboratories in reference to the experience.
In October 20, the mobile laboratory services were launched in Kunahandhoo, Dhan’bidhoo, Mundoo and Maamendhoo in laamu atoll. The minister stated this is a milestone achievement in enhancing laboratory services in the Maldives.
