Maldives Polytechnic to establish two new campuses

Maldives Polytechnic is set to establish two new campuses along with mobile training setups this year.

Speaking to PSM News, CEO of Maldives Polytechnic Ahmed Naseer said the institution has undergone major improvements within the last one year, noting the institution was in a poor state when the current administration took office. Naseer said the institution has conducted several efforts with the Ministry of Higher Education to improve the state of the institution, which has significantly developed the institution during the past one year. In this regard, he noted all graduates from Polytechnic has job guarantees as a result of the successful efforts to strengthen the relationship between the institution and employers.

CEO Naseer said Polytechnic is set to undergo further expansion this year, as it prepares to open two new campuses. Naseer said the new campuses will be developed in Fuvahmulah City and Gahdhoo, Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll. He added the institution will also be establishing mobile training setups aimed for small populations.

In addition to establishing new campuses, Maldives Polytechnic has also decided to introduce 10 courses to prepare individuals for the employment market. The courses, which are conducted in association with the Ministry of Economic Development, will be held in four islands during January and February. The institution aims to train 4000 individuals under this programme.
