Vice President Faisal Naseem has stated students must educate themselves while striving to serve the country in the future. The vice president made the remarks at a special assembly held in Jamaluddin School to celebrate its 35th anniversary.
Addressing the assembly, Vice President Naseem praised Jamaluddin School for exemplary performance that has made the whole nation proud, adding the school shaped many leaders of today. The vice president highlighted Jamaluddin School is known for its exemplary style of teaching and inclusivity. He also noted the school was the first to initiate special education.
Furthermore, Vice President Naseem said students must keep in mind that they are the future who will take over the responsibilities of the nation. Reminiscing memories of his school days, the vice president advised students on the importance of correcting small mistakes, working collectively and respecting teachers, parents and elderly people. He advised students to set ambitions of working closely with teachers and learning from them with respect.
Jamaluddin School was inaugurated on February 16, 1985 as a primary school. It was named after the famous Maldivian religious scholar Mohamed Jamaluddin.
