Environment Ministry conducts seminar on climate change

Ministry of Environment has conducted a seminar on the impacts of climate change in Maldives.

The seminar, titled Reef Island Change in Maldives, was conducted in the auditorium of Maldives National University (MNU). The seminar was led by Professor Paul Kench, who is a professor of earth sciences at Simon Fraser University of Canada.

Professor Kench provided information to the participants of the seminar on the findings of his research on the impact of climate change on the coastal geomorphology of Maldivian islands.

The seminar was attended by Minister of Environment Dr. Hussain Rasheed Hassan.
