Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has opened over 200 job opportunities across different islands.
Speaking at a press conference, CEO Adam Azim said MTCC is conducting a large number of projects in the atolls and needs a large work force. Azim said the company has decided to pick local staff for the projects, adding 13 jobs will be created from each island. He said the jobs include skilled and non-skilled jobs, noting the company is ready to train interested individuals for the required scope of work.
CEO Azim further said an additional 150 jobs will be announced within the next three to six months, bringing the total number of jobs created to over 350. He said MTCC will be launching several more projects in the coming months, creating job opportunities for residents of several islands.
MTCC is preparing to begin a large number of construction projects across Maldives. The projects include road construction, harbour construction, coastal protection and land reclamation projects.
