Maldives Polytechnic, in association with Ministry of Economic Development has decided to commence courses in another 7 islands under the employment training programme initiated by the administration.
The courses will be conducted in in Dhihdhoo, Kulhudhuhfushi, Fokaidhoo, Manadhoo, Kudahuvadhoo and Gahdhoo. The courses include Certificate Level 3 and Level 4 courses in the fields of civil engineering, front office operation, guest house management as well as hospitality and tourism operations.
Under the employment training programme initiated by the administration, Polytechnic courses have been introduced in 4 islands during January and February this year. While courses are to be introduced in another 7 islands in May and June, the administration plans to extend the programme further during September and October as well.
The employment training programme aims to train youth for the employment market of Maldives. The economic ministry revealed the administration targets to create 5,000 job opportunities under the programme.
