Expenditure on infrastructure development projects increases

The expenditure on infrastructure development projects initiated by the administration has increased in February.

According to statistics of Ministry of Finance, USD 220 million was received as income in February while USD 245 million was recorded as expenditure of the state. The finance ministry noted the capital expenditure of the state was recorded at USD 71 million which is an increase of USD 44 million compared with the capital expenditure recorded in February 2019.

The capital expenditure is spent on acquiring or maintaining fixed assets, such as land, buildings, and equipment. Within the past two months, USD 21 million was spent on capital expenditure, which is a 2% increase compared to the same period of last year.
