Flu clinic established for foreigners, can consult without work permit

Maldives has established special flu clinic for foreigners amid rising COVID-19 cases. The flu clinic was opened in Hulhumale' Pre-School.

Speaking at the regular press conference, spokesperson of the National Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC), Under Secretary at President's Office Mohamed Mabrook Abdul Azeez revealed a flu clinic and a travel clinic has also been opened in Male' City, in addition to the flu clinic in Hulhumale'.

Revealing further information, Mabrook stated the clinic established in Hulhumale' Pre-School will be open from 1000 hours to 2200 hours every day. He revealed foreigners seeking services from the clinic are not required to show their identification card or work permit card.

Meanwhile, a travel clinic was established in Male' City to ease consulting doctors if any person experiences symptoms of COVID-19 after travelling. In addition, a flu clinic was established in Senahiya Hospital in Male' City.
