The government has ordered to halt all tourist excursion activities in Maldives.
A statement issued by Director General of Public Health Maimoona Aboobakuru, following the declaration of State of Public Health Emergency in Maldives, said all excursion activities in islands, tourist resorts, safaris, guesthouses have been banned for a period of 10 days throughout the country as a precaution to curb the spread of COVID-19. The statement revealed the decision is a restrictive measure to strengthen the efforts to contain the virus and to ensure the safety and security of all individuals in Maldives.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) advised to follow all instructions given by authorities and to cooperate in the efforts to curb COVID-19.
