National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM) has advised safaris and liveaboards to follow the instructions of relevant authorities to ensure protection against COVID-19.
The advisory comes amid instructions to stop carrying tourists on safaris and liveaboards to inhabited islands. NBAM has asked all safaris to follow the briefings and to make sure the instructions are not violated.
Meanwhile, HPA has ordered to halt tourist excursions for a period of 10 days. While 10 individuals have been tested positive for COVID-19, all cases were from resorts and are foreigners. Maldives has imposed stringent measures to contain the spread of the virus.
