Aasandha Company Limited has relaxed its service application policies to allow medical centres to send service applications directly to its office.
The state-owned company tasked with managing the national health insurance scheme said the decision has been made a preventive measure. The application must be sent to Aasandha by the medical centres with the contact detail of the patient or their assistant, according to the company.
The company further said the customer services will call patients to provide the necessary services after documents have been validated. Aasandha said the tickets and documents will be sent to patients once the arrangements to go abroad have been made. The counter of Aasandha placed at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) will provide the documents during working hours for patients with no means to receive documents via email.
The government has been taking various measures to contain and mitigate COVID-19 in the Maldives.
