Verification process for Hiya applicants temporarily on halt

The Committee Investigating Public Housing Scheme has announced the decision to temporarily halt the physical verification process of the applicants for Hiya housing project.

The decision was made amidst the escalating COVID-19 global pandemic and the recent confirmed cases in Maldives. The action was taken with the aim of increased safety for the public during this time of crisis, according to the committee.

The committee also noted a public announcement will be made prior to restarting the process again.
