National Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC) has revealed a Maldivian with symptoms of COVID-19 is being taken to the isolation facility in Farukolhufushi.
Speaking at a press conference, Spokesperson of NEOC Mohamed Mabrouq Azeez said a Maldivian who returned from South Korea living in Villimale' has been taken to Farukolhufushi to conduct tests. Mabrouq added contact tracing of the individual is currently being done.
Furthermore, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) said a sample taken from a foreign national, in aaaVeee Nature's Paradise Maldives Resort who developed COVID-19 like symptoms, has tested negative. HPA said temporary monitoring measures enacted on the resort has now been uplifted as per protocol.
Moreover, NEOC revealed a Slovenian national suspected for COVID-19 who went to a travel clinic has now been taken to Farukolhufushi. In addition, HPA revealed Mathiveri, Alifu Alifu Atoll has been put in monitoring since two foreigners on the island developed COVID-19 like symptoms. Mathiveri operates a large number of guesthouses.
