Ministry of Tourism has granted a free vacation in Maldives to the family of the Italian child quarantined at Vilivaru Quarantined Facility.
The child was in Thinadhoo, Vaavu Atoll when she developed symptoms of COVID-19. Following release from quarantine, the child has now left Maldives to Italy with her parents.
Minister of Tourism Ali Waheed met with the family before departure and gifted a free vacation and a symbolic gift. The minister said the family can choose their preferred resort for the free vacation.
