The President's Office has appealed to staff of government offices to refrain from going outdoors unless necessary.
The President's Office said the main aim of closing down government offices is to promote social distancing, adding every staff is asked to stay indoors unless for essential needs. The President's Office revealed all services essential will be provided without interruptions although the government offices are closed.
Health facilities and pharmacy services, utility services, broadcasting services, telecommunication services, banking services, cooking gas and fuel services, aviation and business port services, customs, immigration and aviation command services, military and police services, fire and rescue services, judiciary and court services, diplomatic and consular services, social security service, government shelter services, jail services, waste management services and meteorology services will be available during the period the government is closed. The aforementioned authorities have been asked to utilise only the necessary staff and to keep all other staff at home.
All government offices have been closed from March 19 to 26 as a precautionary measure against the COVID-19 pandemic.
