The government of Maldives has decided to close down all food outlets in Greater Male' region for the public.
In a tweet, Minister of Economic Development Fayyaz Ismail said all food outlets in the Greater Male' region must be closed for public dining from 0000hrs of March 22. However, the minister revealed takeaways will be allowed from the food outlets.
The decision comes at a time when all government offices have been closed from March 19 to 26 as a precautionary measure against the COVID-19 pandemic.
