FlyMe suspends operations due to COVID-19

The local commercial airline, FlyMe, has temporarily suspended its operations.

The operator of FlyMe, Villa Air, said operations will be temporarily ceased due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The circular issued by Villa Air states operations will be suspended from Sunday onwards adding however, the crew members and staff will be on standby. Villa Air noted FlyMe will not hesitate to resume operations if required to operate in an emergency.

Many airlines across the world have faced difficulties due to the COVID-19 as countries have imposed travel restrictions.
