National Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC) has revealed over 60 individuals are kept in isolation and in quarantine in Male' City.
Speaking at a press conference, Spokesperson of NEOC Mohamed Mabrook Azeez said if a person is suspected to have COVID-19 like symptoms they are placed in home isolation or home quarantine for the protection of all citizens. The spokesperson said 44 individuals are placed in home quarantine, including 1 foreigner and 13 Maldivians. He added a further 4 foreigners are kept in home isolation in Male' City.
Mabrook said all individuals placed in isolation and quarantine are required to follow the orders of NEOC, adding action will be taken against individuals who violate instructions.
