Health Protection Agency (HPA) has begun tracing over 50 individuals who returned Maldives from the UK after March 14. HPA is tracing those individuals to screen and test for COVID-19.
Spokesperson of National Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC) Mohamed Mabrook Azeez said HPA has begun contact screening of individuals who returned from the UK before Maldives announced travel restrictions. Mabrook added all individuals who returned from the UK will be tested and contact traced, adding more than 50 passengers have arrived from the UK.
Four Maldivians have so far tested positive for COVID-19, all of whom returned from UK.
