Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH) has stated all services at Hithadhoo Regional Hospital (HRH) have now been transferred to AEH.
Speaking to PSM News, Manager of AEH Sharaful Saadhaath noted the new hospital first began operations with physiotherapy services last year, while gradually transferring all services at HRH along the way. Saadhaath said the last services to be transferred to AEH from HRH were emergency, ICU and in-patient services. He stated HRH has officially ceased operations upon transfer of all services to AEH. He added AEH is now preparing to introduce MRI services, which will complete the list of services to be launched at the hospital.
AEH began consultation services on January 15. OPD general consultation is available at the hospital 24 hours, while specialist consultation is available from 0900 hours to 1600 hours daily.
Meanwhile, the President's Office has instructed the Ministry of Health to abolish HRH after transferring all of its services to the new hospital.
