IGMH transforms travel clinic to a flu clinic

Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has transformed the travel clinic in Male' City to a flu clinic.

The clinic was initially established as a travel clinic for patients who have travelled during a 14-day period and seeking medical assistance. However, following the travel bans imposed by the government and restricting on-arrival visas to Maldives, IGMH decided to transform the travel clinic to a flu clinic.

IGMH revealed the clinic will be opened every day from 1000 hours to 2200 hours. IGMH stated the flu clinic will provide services for locals and foreigners alike. The hospital has advised individuals to visit the flu clinic rather than hospitals if they are experiencing symptoms of flu.

Due to the global pandemic of COVID-19, the government has established 23 flu clinics across the country to avoid crowding in hospitals.
